Gigi Woodruff is a compelling facilitator, an outcome driven consultant and a nationally recognized subject matter expert in the areas of nonprofit governance, board development and volunteer engagement. Researching, developing and implementing strategies in partnership with “thinking partners” and in service to their objectives, Gigi believes that volunteer board members, acting as advocates, influencers and connectors at the local, state, and national levels are critical to the success of local Ys, Alliances and the national Y Movement.
Gigi holds a Master of Arts degree in Organizational Leadership from Gonzaga University and is certified as an Advanced Governance Consultant with BoardSource. She holds multiple certifications as an executive coach and is an adjunct faculty for Springfield College/Houston campus. Gigi’s 35+ year YMCA career began as a volunteer in Dallas where she went on to serve in Executive Director roles and from there as the Vice President for Program Development and Training in Houston. Focused on developing executive and volunteer development initiatives to advance a leader’s competence and confidence, Gigi served most recently as the Director, Leadership Development & Board Governance at the YMCA of the USA.
